The traffic accident occurred on November 8, around 11:00 a.m., on the Kyiv-Chop highway in the village of Kozyova, Stryi district.
As previously established by the law enforcement officers, there was a collision between a Scania truck driven by a 48-year-old resident of Dnipro, a Mercedes-Benz Vito minibus driven by a 62-year-old resident of Donetsk region and a Dacia Lodgy compact van driven by a 23-year-old resident of Kryvyi Rih .
As a result of the accident, the drivers of all vehicles were injured and taken to the hospital, as well as three passengers of the “Dacia Lodgy”: a 30-year-old woman from Kyiv and two residents of Dnipro – a 27-year-old woman and a 29-year-old man.
According to the fact, investigators of police department No. 3 of the Stryi district police department opened criminal proceedings under part 1 of article 286 (Violation of traffic safety rules) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The maximum punishment provided by the sanction of the article is restriction of liberty for a term of up to three years, with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for a term of up to three years.
