The traffic accident occurred on February 27 at 7:10 p.m. in the village of Rozvadiv, Stryi district.
As previously determined by law enforcement officers, a Fiat Uno driven by a 59-year-old resident of the district collided with a Volkswagen Passat driven by a 30-year-old resident of Sumy Oblast. As a result of the collision, the Fiat driver was injured and taken to the hospital.
According to the fact, investigators of police department No. 2 of the Stryi district police department opened criminal proceedings under part 1 of article 286 (Violation of traffic safety rules) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The maximum penalty provided by the sanction of the article is restriction of liberty for a term of up to three years, with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for a term of up to three years.
An investigation is underway, law enforcement officers are establishing the circumstances of the incident.
