In the Ternopil region, two military personnel will be tried for illegally arranging ‘ineligibility’ for service.
Prosecutors of the Ternopil Specialized Defense Prosecutor’s Office in the Western Region have sent an indictment to the court against a serviceman of the district TCC and SP and his accomplice, a soldier of a military unit. According to the investigation, the accused offered to evade mobilization for money by arranging fictitious medical documents.
They planned to organize the ‘production’ of a certificate with a forged diagnosis, which would allow a person to obtain the status of unfit for service. The cost of such services was 20,000 US dollars, and law enforcement documented their receipt of an advance of 10,000 dollars.
Their actions are qualified under Part 2 of Article 28, Part 3 of Article 369-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The military personnel face up to eight years of imprisonment.
