In the Ternopil Region, police dismantled a drug laboratory, seizing nearly 400 kg of narcotics and 20 tonnes of precursors. This laboratory operated a full cycle of illegal methadone and methamphetamine production — from synthesis to packaging and preparation for distribution.
The criminal group attempted to conceal their activities by transporting drugs to other regions and hiding them in a secret stash beneath the floor of a private house. However, our systematic actions are aimed at eradicating any attempts to circumvent the law.
During the special operation, 54 searches were conducted across six regions and Kyiv. Approximately 200 kg of methadone, 127 kg of opium extract, 20 kg of cannabis, 25 kg of poppy straw, and laboratory equipment were seized. The estimated value of the seized substances reaches 700 million hryvnias. 12 individuals have already been notified of suspicion.
