
On 28 July at around 17:40 on the Kyiv–Chop motorway near the town of Dublyany in Lviv district, a road traffic collision occurred in which three people were injured. The police reported this.
According to preliminary information, a Renault Logan driven by a 51-year-old Lviv resident and a Land Rover Discovery driven by a 63-year-old resident of Lviv collided.
As a result of the crash, both drivers and a 61-year-old passenger in the Land Rover Discovery sustained bodily injuries. All the casualties were taken to a medical facility.
Investigators from Police Division No. 1 of Lviv District Police Department No. 1 have opened criminal proceedings under Part 1 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – violation of road safety rules. The penalty under this article provides for up to three years’ restriction of liberty with disqualification from driving vehicles for up to three years.
The police are establishing all the circumstances of the incident and the causes of the crash.
