On the Kyiv–Chop motorway near the village of Pidbirtsi in Lviv district, a road traffic collision occurred in which a 23-year-old female motorcyclist was injured. This was reported by Lviv District Police Department No.1.
The crash happened on 30 July at around 14:55. According to preliminary police findings, a VAZ-21043 car driven by a 28-year-old Lviv resident collided with a Lifan LF 250-10S motorcycle ridden by a 23-year-old resident of Lviv district.
As a result of the collision, the motorcyclist sustained bodily injuries and was taken to hospital.
Investigators have opened criminal proceedings under Part 1 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – violation of road safety regulations. The article provides for a penalty of up to three years’ restriction of liberty with disqualification from driving for up to three years.
The police are establishing all the circumstances of the incident.
