Fatal road accident occurred on 20 July at around 23:00 on the Mykolaiv–Horodok–Zhovkva highway near the village of Zaluzhany in Lviv district.
According to preliminary police reports, a 32-year-old Lviv resident riding a Yamaha MT-09 motorcycle lost control, left the carriageway and the vehicle overturned.
The motorcyclist died at the scene from his injuries.
Investigators from Police Station No.1 of Lviv District Police Department No.2 have opened criminal proceedings under Part 2 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – violation of road safety regulations by persons driving vehicles.
Law enforcement officers are establishing all the circumstances of the incident.
