An illegal scheme for crossing the border through a fake marriage has been uncovered in Volyn.
Prosecutors, police, and border guards have exposed the actions of a father and daughter who organized the illegal exit of a man of conscription age. According to the investigation, they arranged a ‘marriage of convenience’ for $25,000. This was achieved by marrying a woman with a Group II disability, who is the daughter and sister of the traffickers.
Thus, the possibility of a legal exit to EU countries was provided. **The organizers promised passage through the checkpoint in Volyn.** After the marriage registration and the transfer of the second portion of the money amounting to $23,300, they were detained under Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine.
