On Kulisha Street, patrol police officers noticed a driver of an electric scooter together with a passenger fall while crossing a pedestrian crossing. The incident occurred a few days ago.
The officers immediately stopped their patrol car and approached to check the condition of those involved. The 21-year-old rider of the two-wheeler said that this was already the second time in a short period that they had fallen, but apart from grazed knees, there were no serious injuries and they did not require medical assistance.
While talking to him, the patrol officers noticed signs of alcohol intoxication in the driver. A breathalyser test with a “Drager” device showed 1.59‰ of alcohol in his system.
A report was drawn up against the 21-year-old offender under Part 1 of Article 130 of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offences for driving a vehicle while intoxicated. The administrative materials will be referred to the court for consideration.
