On Pasichna Street, patrol officers stopped the driver of a Volkswagen Golf who had exceeded the speed limit and ignored the police officers’ order to stop.
The inspectors were monitoring compliance with the speed limit using a TruCam device when they recorded the offence. The driver did not respond to the order to pull over, so the patrol officers caught up with him.
While speaking with the 54-year-old driver, the police officers noticed signs of alcohol intoxication. A test on a Drager device showed 2 per mille of alcohol. The man disagreed with the result and went to a medical facility, where his state of intoxication was confirmed.
Two reports were drawn up against the driver: under Article 122-2 of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offences (failure to comply with an order to stop) and under Part 1 of Article 130 of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offences (driving a vehicle while intoxicated). He was also issued a penalty notice for exceeding the established speed limit.
