On Stepana Bandery Street, cycle patrol officers discovered an Audi car parked in a space designated for people with disabilities.
An unknown man approached the inspectors and began asking whether the police were issuing a penalty notice. The cycle patrol officers explained that they were establishing the identity of the driver, otherwise the car would be towed away.
At first, the man denied that he had been behind the wheel, but after he learned about the possible financial consequences, he admitted that he was the driver of this car.
The patrol officers issued him with a penalty notice under Part 6 of Article 122 of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offences (parking in spaces for people with disabilities). The fine amounts to 1,700 hryvnias.
The police urge drivers to respect parking spaces for people with disabilities and to comply with parking regulations.
