Yesterday evening on Stryiska Street patrol officers noticed a family who decided to cross the carriageway at an undesignated place. The parents were holding their children by the hand and hurriedly led them across several lanes of traffic, ignoring the pedestrian crossing.
The inspectors stopped the offenders and issued penalty notices for traffic violations to both the father and the mother. The police stressed that adults must demonstrate correct behaviour on the road to children.
Law enforcement officers urge drivers and pedestrians to remember: children’s safety begins with adults themselves responsibly observing the Highway Code.
