Under the procedural leadership of the Yavoriv district prosecutor’s office, a 47-year-old resident of Transcarpathia was notified of suspicion of illegal transportation of persons across the state border of Ukraine (Part 3 of Article 332 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
According to the investigation, the suspect organized a scheme to transport conscripts across the state border outside checkpoints.
The price of such a service ranged from 2,000 to 3,000 US dollars.
It is documented that at least 5 people used his services.
The pre-trial investigation of the criminal proceedings continues.
At the prosecutor’s request, the court ordered the suspect to be remanded in custody.
Investigations of the Yavoriv District Police Department of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Lviv Region were carried out under the procedural guidance of the District Prosecutor’s Office under the operational support of the Lviv Border Squad.
Note: in accordance with Art. 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is considered innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until his guilt is proven in a legal manner and established by a court verdict.
