In Zakarpattia, a scheme to influence the Territorial Recruitment Centre and the military medical commission has been exposed, under which two local residents allegedly promised, for money, to “sort out” a conscript’s registration status.
According to the investigation, two men from Zakarpattia, aged 45 and 35, promised to help the man remove a note in the “Oberig” register requiring him to report to the territorial recruitment centre to update his military registration data.
They assured their “client” that they had connections among members of the military medical commission and officials of one of the district Territorial Recruitment and Social Support Centres, which would allow them to influence the adoption of the desired decision. The men promised to arrange everything without the conscript’s personal presence.
The accomplices priced their “services” at 1,500 US dollars, which they received in instalments. After the second payment, they informed him that the military medical commission had allegedly already been passed.
For the final “resolution of the issue”, the men demanded a further payment of 8,500 hryvnias, explaining this by the alleged need to pay a fine.
