A 35-year-old man was found guilty of evading conscription for military service during mobilization (Article 336 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine) following a public indictment by prosecutors of the Zhovkiv District Prosecutor’s Office.
He was sentenced to 3 years in prison.
It was established that since March 2022, the resident of Kharkiv was temporarily living in the Lviv district, where he was served with a summons. The examination of the military medical commission found the accused fit for military service. In addition, the man had the military rank of “private”.
Accordingly, at the same time he was handed a military summons, according to which he had to appear for general mobilization.
However, the person involved did not appear at the territorial recruitment and social support center for his service in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine without a valid reason. Therefore, the conscript violated the requirements of the current legislation and evaded military conscription.
