Lviv region: motorcyclist runs over minor – police establish circumstances
The traffic accident occurred on August 12 at about 21.00 in the village of Storonibaby, Zolochiv district.
As law enforcement officers have preliminarily established, a 24-year-old resident of one of the villages in the district, driving a Suzuki motorcycle, hit a 15-year-old resident of another village who was crossing the roadway outside the pedestrian crossing. As a result, the girl was injured and taken to the hospital.
Investigators of the Zolochiv District Police Department No. 2 opened criminal proceedings over the incident under Part 1 of Article 286 (Violation of the rules of road safety) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The maximum penalty provided for by the sanction of the article is restraint of liberty for up to three years, with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for up to three years.
The police are establishing the circumstances of the incident.
