A 35-year-old man was injured as a result of a road train collision in the Lviv region – the police are investigating
The traffic accident occurred on October 22 at 8:25 p.m. on the highway near the village of Rusyliv, Zolochiv district.
As previously established by the law enforcement officers, the driver of the “Volvo” train, a 53-year-old resident of one of the villages of the district, hit a pedestrian, a 35-year-old resident of Sambir Region. As a result of the collision, the pedestrian was injured and hospitalized.
According to the fact, the investigators of the Department of Investigation of Crimes in the Field of Transport of the Lviv Oblast Police opened criminal proceedings under Part 2 of Article 286 (Violation of Traffic Safety Rules) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The sanction of the article provides for punishment – deprivation of liberty for a period of three to eight years with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for a period of up to three years or without it.
The police are establishing the circumstances of the incident.
