The traffic accident happened on November 1, around 9:00 p.m., on the Krasne-Zolochiv highway near Zolochiv.
As previously established by the law enforcement officers, the driver of the “MAN” car, a 35-year-old resident of Khmelnytskyi region, hit a cyclist, a 32-year-old resident of one of the villages of Zolochiv district.
As a result of the accident, the driver of the two-wheeler was injured and was hospitalized in intensive care.
According to the fact, the investigators of the police department No. 2 of the Zolochiv district police department opened criminal proceedings under Part 2 of Article 286 (Violation of traffic safety rules) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The sanction of the article provides for punishment – deprivation of liberty for a term of three to eight years with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for a term of up to three years or without it.
Law enforcement officers are establishing the circumstances of the incident.
