In Zolochiv district, a 62-year-old resident of one of the villages, during a sudden conflict, brutally beat a 19-year-old resident of a neighbouring village, repeatedly punching him in the face. This was reported by the Zolochiv District Police Department.
According to law enforcement officers, doctors diagnosed the victim with a craniofacial injury, which in terms of severity is classified as grievous bodily harm.
The man has been notified that he is under suspicion under Part 1 of Article 121 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – intentional grievous bodily harm. The article provides for a penalty of imprisonment for a term of five to eight years.
The pre-trial investigation is ongoing, and a decision is being made on the preventive measure to be applied to the suspect.
