Under the procedural leadership of the Zolochiv district prosecutor’s office, a pre-trial investigation was completed and an indictment was sent to the court against the head of the therapeutic department of one of the medical institutions of the Zolochiv region. He is accused of unauthorized change of information that is processed in electronic computing machines (computers), automated systems, computer networks or stored on carriers of such information and official forgery (Part 1, 3 of Article 362, Part 1 of Art. 366 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
The investigation established that during 2022 the doctor forged and issued fictitious documents to conscripts.
Allegedly, the men were receiving inpatient treatment in a communal health care facility and received relevant extracts from the medical card from the accused.
Subsequently, the “patients” handed over the above-mentioned documents to one of the district territorial centers of recruitment and social support, which served as the basis for postponing the mobilization.
A total of 18 such episodes have been documented.
The pre-trial investigation was carried out by investigators of the Zolochiv district police department of the National Police Department in the Lviv region under the operational support of the cybercrime countermeasures department in the Lviv region of the cyber police department of the National Police of Ukraine.
Note: in accordance with Art. 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is considered innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until his guilt is proven in a legal manner and established by a court verdict.
