A road traffic accident occurred in the Lviv district, resulting in a woman being injured.
The accident took place on November 18 at around 09:30 in the village of Zymna Voda. According to preliminary data, a Skoda car driven by a 24-year-old local resident hit a 52-year-old pedestrian. The woman sustained bodily injuries and was hospitalized.
Investigators have opened a criminal case under part 1 of article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The maximum penalty includes up to three years of restricted freedom with the deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for the same period.
Law enforcement officers are establishing the circumstances of the incident. An operation named “Pedestrian” has been launched in the Lviv region aimed at preventing deaths and injuries on the road. Police urge adherence to traffic rules.
