On 16 May, a brutal attack occurred in the town of Sudova Vyshnia on a 73-year-old woman. According to preliminary information, a neighbour in a state of alcoholic intoxication inflicted numerous blows on her. The incident arose from a domestic conflict in the victim’s home.
The woman sustained severe injuries, including a brain contusion and skull fractures. Her 12-year-old grandson, who witnessed the event, called for an ambulance. The victim is currently in intensive care.
Thanks to the prompt actions of the Yavoriv District Prosecutor’s Office and investigators, the suspect has been detained. He has been charged with intentional grievous bodily harm. A pre-trial investigation is underway, and the issue of selecting a preventive measure for the suspect is being decided.
