Underage Lviv Resident Injured in Square Conflict

An incident occurred at St John Paul II Square in Lviv, during which a 17-year-old Lviv resident sustained bodily injuries. The conflict arose between him and an unknown young man, who struck the minor in the head with his fist. As a result, the victim fell and sustained injuries.

The perpetrator, identified as a 21-year-old resident of the Mykolaiv region, fled the scene. The victim was hospitalised and remains in hospital. The Lviv police, using footage from the “Safe Lviv” surveillance system, identified the attacker.

Investigators, under the procedural guidance of the Frankivsk District Prosecutor’s Office, have informed the perpetrator of suspicion of committing a criminal offence under Article 128 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The article’s sanction provides for punishment in the form of community service or restriction of liberty.
