In Chervonohrad, a health worker and an acquaintance are suspected of organising the smuggling of a disabled person across the border

Under the procedural supervision of the Chervonohrad District Prosecutor’s Office, a nurse of a state medical institution in Rivne region and her acquaintance were served a notice of suspicion. They are charged with illegal trafficking of persons across the state border (Part 3 of Article 332 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). The woman is also charged with forgery of official documents (Part 1 of Article 358 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

According to the investigation, the woman, who is a medical worker, and her accomplice organised the illegal crossing of persons liable for military service across the state border into the Republic of Poland during martial law.

To do this, the suspects posted an announcement in one of the messengers about the possibility of producing documents that would allow them to travel outside Ukraine.

For the money, they had to prepare a package of fictitious documents for the “client”, namely a disability certificate. On its basis, the man was removed from the military register. Later, this gave him the right to travel abroad without hindrance.

The price of this service was USD 3,000 per package of documents.

Investigative actions are ongoing, and other persons involved are being identified.

The pre-trial investigation is being carried out by investigators of the Chervonohrad District Police Department No. 2 of the Main Department of the National Police in Lviv region, with operational support provided by the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine and the Migration Police Department of the Main Department of the National Police in Lviv region.
