The prosecutors of the Sambir district prosecutor’s office completed the pre-trial investigation and sent an indictment to the court against a local resident for illegal mining of minerals (Part 2 of Article 240 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
The investigation established that in August of last year, the accused loaded more than 5 cubic meters of sand-gravel mixture onto a special dump truck on the bank of the Dniester River without permits. m, which according to the current legislation refers to minerals of national importance.
At the request of the prosecutor, the court ordered the seizure of the truck, tools and the object of criminal activity.
Note: in accordance with Art. 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is considered innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until his guilt is proven in a legal manner and established by a court verdict.
