The police are seeking individuals who witnessed the accident near the village of Hamaliivka in the Lviv district. Anyone with information that could help uncover details of this incident is encouraged to contact the emergency line “102”, as reported by MVS Lviv.
A collision between a MAN lorry driven by a 59-year-old resident of the Dnipropetrovsk region and a SsangYong car driven by a 38-year-old local resident occurred around 14:00 on 12 March on the “Kyiv-Chop” highway. The driver of the SsangYong succumbed to injuries at the scene.
Criminal proceedings have been initiated under part 2 of article 286 (Violation of traffic safety rules) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The article provides for penalties of up to eight years of imprisonment, as well as disqualification from driving for up to three years. The pre-trial investigation is ongoing.
