Two residents of the Sambir District were uncovered in organising a channel for the illegal transfer of men of conscription age across Ukraine’s state border. This channel operated outside official checkpoints.
According to the investigation, a 28-year-old resident of the border area, together with a 27-year-old friend, established a process for illegal departure using information about border patrols. One participant sought interested parties, while the other was responsible for logistics and escort to the border.
In March-April 2026, the organisers offered a Lviv resident the opportunity for illegal departure to Poland for a sum of 8,000 US dollars, providing him with detailed guidance and coordinating actions along the route.
The activities of this group were halted while transporting a man to the border area. Law enforcement officers detained the participants and announced suspicions of committing a crime. Pre-trial investigation is being conducted by the Sambir District Police Department.
