The traffic accident happened on June 14, at about 2:50 p.m., on Kyivska Street in the village of Malekhiv, Lviv District.
According to police, the driver of a Volvo car, a 69-year-old resident of the Kherson region, drove into the oncoming lane and collided with a BAZ shuttle bus driven by a 63-year-old Lviv resident.
As a result of the accident, the driver of the Volvo and four passengers of the minibus – a 56-year-old Lviv resident and a 23-year-old Lviv resident, as well as a 17-year-old resident of Dublyany – suffered injuries of varying severity and were taken to a medical facility.
Investigators of the Police Department №1 of the Lviv District Police Department №1 opened a criminal case under Part 1 of Article 286 (Violation of traffic safety rules) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The maximum penalty provided by the sanction of the article is up to three years of restriction of liberty with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for up to three years.
Law enforcement officers are establishing all the circumstances of the incident.
