Road traffic accident occurred on February 27 around 11:20 at the intersection of Lypynskoho and Beethoven streets in Lviv. As preliminarily established by law enforcement, the vehicles Citroen C4, driven by a 36-year-old resident of Sambir district, and Honda Civic driven by a 63-year-old resident of Lviv district, collided. As a result of the collision, a 61-year-old passenger of the Honda, also a resident of Lviv district, sustained bodily injuries and was taken to the hospital. Based on the incident, investigators from police department No. 1 of the Lviv district police department No. 1 opened a criminal case under part 1 of article 286 (Violation of traffic safety rules) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The maximum penalty provided by the article’s sanction is imprisonment for up to three years, with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for up to three years.
