Patrol Officers in Lviv Detain an Attacker with a Knife

In Lviv, patrol officers provided pre-medical assistance to an injured man and detained his attacker.

Recently, patrol officers received a report of a knife attack on a man on Nalyvaiko Street. According to a witness, another participant in the conflict was accompanied by a woman and left the scene. The patrol officers, having a clear description of the mentioned individuals, immediately set off to search for the suspected attacker. The man was detained on Spytalna Street within minutes.

Partners Ihor Bulyak and Nadia Karalus went to the victim. A concerned citizen was the first to compress the wound, and the patrol officers quickly applied a tourniquet to stop the bleeding. We monitored the man’s condition until the ambulance arrived.

Investigative actions are ongoing. The preliminary qualification of the event is under part 1 of Article 121 (Intentional grievous bodily injury) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. “We thank our colleagues and concerned citizens for coordinated and decisive actions,” stated the patrol police.
