Transported conscripts to EU countries for 18,000 US dollars – the organizer will be tried in Lviv

The prosecutors of the Lviv Regional Prosecutor’s Office completed the pre-trial investigation and sent the indictment to the court against the 36-year-old Kyivan, who is accused of organizing the illegal transportation of persons across the state border of Ukraine (Part 3 of Article 332 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

According to the investigation, the accused, together with an accomplice, during the martial law, organized a scheme to illegally transport conscripted men across the state border to EU countries. They illegally entered their data into the Shlyah system under the guise of humanitarian aid carriers, which enabled them to legally travel abroad.

For 18,000 US dollars, those involved promised to give six men of draft age the opportunity to leave Ukraine without hindrance.

The organizer was detained while receiving part of the funds – 16,200 US dollars. He is currently in custody.

Materials related to his accomplice were allocated to a separate proceeding in connection with the declaration of the latter as wanted.

The pre-trial investigation was carried out by investigators of the Main Investigative Department of the National Police of Ukraine in the Lviv region, based on the materials of the SBU Department in the Lviv region.

Note: in accordance with Art. 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is considered innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until his guilt is proven in a legal manner and established by a court verdict.
