Flood Preparedness Checks in Lviv Region

In the Lviv region, rescue services have conducted checks on the readiness of local government bodies for handling ice floes, flooding, and rain-induced floodwaters. Special attention was given to the availability and preparedness of resources, the organisation of inter-agency cooperation, and the timely response to threats of rising water levels. This was reported by DSNS Lviv.

Practical sessions were held with representatives from the Basin Administration of Water Resources of the Western Bug and San Rivers, in collaboration with the Sheptytsky District State Administration. Participants worked through action plans in the event of emergencies related to rising water levels and the detrimental effects of floods and flash floods.

These measures are aimed at improving service preparedness and minimising the consequences of natural emergencies.
