A road traffic accident occurred on February 12, around 07:30 AM, at the intersection of Shevchenka and Kovcha streets in Lviv.
As preliminarily determined by law enforcement, there was a collision between a Mitsubishi Pajero Sport, driven by a 53-year-old resident of Lviv, and a Toyota RAV4 under the control of a 22-year-old resident of Lviv.
As a result of the accident, the driver of the Toyota RAV4 sustained bodily injuries and was hospitalized.
Following the incident, the investigators of Police Department No. 1 of the Lviv District Police Administration opened a criminal case under part 1 of Article 286 (Violation of traffic safety rules) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The maximum penalty under the article’s provisions is restriction of freedom for up to three years, with deprivation of the right to operate vehicles for up to three years.
Law enforcement officers are establishing the circumstances of the incident.
