In Lviv, offenders sold drugs by mail

A group of people prepared packages with amphetamine, cannabis and PVP for mailing – a group of people will be tried

 

Prosecutors of the Frankivsk District Prosecutor’s Office in Lviv have sent to court an indictment against two natives of Soledar. They are charged with illegal acquisition, storage with intent to sell particularly dangerous narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances and particularly dangerous psychotropic substances in particularly large amounts (Part 3 of Article 307 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

The investigation established that a group of people intended to sell amphetamine, cannabis and PVP, which they had previously illegally purchased.

However, they did not succeed in selling the “goods”, as the defendants were exposed and detained by law enforcement officers in a timely manner. In particular, near the post office of one of the postal operators in Lviv. The defendants were found to have packages of prohibited substances ready for shipment, disguised as household items.

In addition, the SBU found and seized narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances, as well as packaging materials from the men at their place of residence.

The defendants are currently in custody.

The pre-trial investigation was carried out by investigators of the Main Department of the National Police in Lviv region.

Note: In accordance with Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime and shall not be subjected to criminal punishment until his or her guilt is proved by law and established by a court verdict of guilty.
