According to lviv.gp.gov.ua, a 33-year-old resident of Zolochiv is suspected of establishing a cannabis distribution scheme in the area. He illegally acquired, stored, and sold the drug, including through so-called ‘stash’ methods.
At least three episodes of illegal activity were documented in January–February 2026. The man twice left packages of cannabis in a tree hollow near the Zolochiv – Krasne highway, and also sold the drug directly to an addict.
Under the procedural guidance of the Zolochiv District Prosecutor’s Office, the man has been notified of suspicion of illegal acquisition and storage for the purpose of sale, as well as illegal sale of narcotics, committed repeatedly (part 1, part 2 of Article 307 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
The pre-trial investigation is being conducted by investigators of the Zolochiv District Police Department of the National Police in the Lviv region. The issue of selecting a preventive measure for the suspect is being decided.
Note: According to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is considered innocent of a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until their guilt is proven in a legal manner and established by a court conviction.
