
Under the procedural guidance of the Drogobych District Prosecutor’s Office, a 23-year-old resident of the Drogobych district has been charged with deliberately damaging someone else’s property by arson, as provided by Part 2 of Article 194 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
Investigations have established that in March this year, during the night in Truskavets, the suspect set fire to a local woman’s car, which was used by his acquaintance with whom he had a strained relationship.
- The defendant poured fuel and lubricants on the car’s hood and set it on fire.
- After committing the crime, the man left the scene but was detained by law enforcement officers a few days later.
The investigation is being conducted by investigators from the Police Department No. 2 of the Drogobych District Police Department of the Main Directorate of the Police in the Lviv Region, with the support of criminal investigation operatives from Lviv.
It should be noted that according to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person cannot be found guilty until proven guilty in a legal manner, and a court issues a conviction.
