Under the procedural supervision of prosecutors of the Chervonohrad District Prosecutor’s Office, the pre-trial investigation was completed and an indictment against the head of the enterprise was submitted to the court. He is charged with misappropriation of budgetary funds (Part 2 Article 191 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
The investigation established that the accused misappropriated funds in Radekhiv district during the conversion of school boilers to solid fuel.
For this purpose, the contractor with whom the agreement was concluded submitted official documents – an acceptance certificate for the completed construction work and a certificate of its cost with false information. The latter overstated the scope and cost of the work performed.
As a result, almost UAH 150 thousand was unjustifiably transferred to the business entity.
The pre-trial investigation was carried out by investigators of the Chervonohrad District Police Department of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Lviv Region.
Note: In accordance with Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime and shall not be subjected to criminal punishment until his or her guilt is proved in accordance with the law and established by a court verdict of guilty.
