The accused noted and confirmed the amount of work that was actually not performed during the reconstruction of street lighting in Sambor.
As the law enforcement officers established, the contractor, a 33-year-old resident of the Lviv district, entered false information about the works that were not actually performed into the acts of completed works, and also overestimated their cost. Thus, the attacker caused losses to the state in the amount of more than 120 thousand hryvnias.
Investigators of the Sambir District Police Department, under the procedural guidance of the Sambir District Prosecutor’s Office, conducted a pre-trial investigation in criminal proceedings opened under Part 2 of Article 191 (Empropriation, embezzlement of property or possession of it by abuse of official position) and Part 1 of Article 366 (Official forgery ) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, completed. The indictment is referred to the court.
The maximum penalty provided by the sanctions of the articles is imprisonment for a term of up to five years with deprivation of the right to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities for a term of up to three years.
