On the “Lviv–Shehyni” motorway near the village of Zymna Voda in Lviv district, a road traffic collision occurred in which the driver of a Skoda Fabia was injured. The Lviv region police reported this.
The collision happened on 18 July at around 14:00. According to preliminary information from law enforcement officers, a Mitsubishi Lancer driven by a 78-year-old Lviv resident and a Skoda Fabia driven by a 54-year-old resident of Lviv collided.
As a result of the collision, the Skoda Fabia driver sustained bodily injuries and was taken to hospital.
Investigators from Police Station No. 3 of Lviv District Police Department No. 2 have opened criminal proceedings under Part 1 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (violation of road traffic safety rules). The article provides for a maximum penalty of up to three years’ restriction of liberty with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for the same period.
Law enforcement officers are establishing all the circumstances of the incident.
