On 22 August at around 18:40 near the village of Boryatyn in the Sheptytskyi district, a road traffic collision involving an electric bicycle occurred, in which two children were injured.
According to preliminary police information, a 13-year-old resident of Sheptytskyi, who was riding the electric bicycle, lost control, causing the two-wheeled vehicle to fall. Both the 13-year-old rider and his passenger, an 11-year-old girl from Sheptytskyi, sustained bodily injuries.
Both children were taken to hospital.
Investigators from the Sheptytskyi District Police Department of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Lviv Region have opened criminal proceedings under Article 291 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (violation of current transport regulations). Police officers are establishing all the circumstances of the incident.
