As a result of a triple traffic accident near Lviv, the driver of a passenger car was injured – the police are establishing the circumstances of the incident
The traffic accident happened today, September 22, around 11:00 a.m., on the “Western Bypass of the City of Lviv” highway near the village of Sokilnyky, Lviv District.
As previously established by the law enforcement officers, there was a collision between a Renault Magnum truck driven by a 67-year-old man from Lviv, a Skoda Octavia driven by a 31-year-old resident of the Lviv district, and a MAN truck driven by a 40-year-old resident of one of the villages Yavoriv district.
As a result of the accident, the driver of the car was injured and taken to the hospital.
According to the fact, investigators of police department No. 3 of Lviv district police department No. 2 opened criminal proceedings under Part 1 of Article 286 (Violation of traffic safety rules) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The maximum punishment provided by the sanction of the article is restriction of liberty for a term of up to three years, with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for a term of up to three years.
