On the Kyiv–Chop motorway near the village of Sosnivka in Lviv district there was a three-vehicle road traffic collision involving two lorries and a car. The incident was reported to the Rescue Service “101” at 16:49.
According to available information, a Volvo lorry, a Nissan Qashqai car and a Mercedes-Benz lorry collided. As a result of the impact, the driver of the Nissan Qashqai was trapped by the deformed bodywork.
Rescuers used specialist equipment to free the injured man, born in 1973, and handed him over to medics. After examination, he was taken to hospital in a moderately serious condition.
The causes and circumstances of the crash are being established by law enforcement agencies.
