In the Lviv region, police are investigating a case of a dog being hit.
On January 9, while monitoring social networks, police officers discovered a video where a car hits an animal. **The driver of the Nissan Qashqai has been identified**, a 28-year-old resident of one of the villages in the Lviv district. The incident occurred on January 8 around 5:00 PM in the town of Pustomyty.
A criminal case has been opened under part 1 of article 299 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, which provides for a penalty of imprisonment of up to one to three years or imprisonment from two to three years. The pre-trial investigation continues. The dog has been transferred to an animal shelter where it is under the supervision of veterinarians.
