Lviv Police Arrest Suspects in Burglary

In Lviv region, police have swiftly apprehended suspects in a house burglary. The two individuals from a neighboring region, who broke into the victim’s house by damaging a window, face up to eight years of imprisonment if convicted.

The report of the burglary, which took place in a village in Lviv district, reached the police on November 16. According to the complainant, a substantial amount of money in various currencies, gold jewelry, and other property were stolen from the residence.

To solve the crime, operational officers of the criminal police, investigators, and other department staff from the police department No. 3 of the Lviv district police administration No. 2 were involved, along with operatives from the Crime Analysis Department and an officer from the Lviv Canine Center with a service dog.

Through police measures, the same day law enforcement identified the suspects’ location and detained them in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine. The detained individuals were identified as residents of Zakarpattia, aged 19 and 21. They entered the dwelling by damaging a window.

Investigators of the territorial police unit, under the procedural guidance of the Pustomyty District Prosecutor’s Office, informed the suspects of their charges regarding the offense outlined in Part 4 of Article 185 (Theft) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The maximum sentence stipulated by the article is up to eight years of imprisonment. The pre-trial investigation continues, and soon the court will choose preventive measures for the suspects.
