Lviv Region Police are appealing to the public for help in investigating a traffic accident that occurred on December 19 on Boichuk Street in Lviv.
Preliminary data indicates that an unidentified man on an e-scooter hit a 56-year-old Lviv woman who was walking on the sidewalk and fled the scene. The woman sustained serious injuries, including a radial bone fracture, ligament sprains, and bruises, and was hospitalized.
Investigators from Lviv District Police Department No. 2 have opened a criminal case under Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, which provides for up to three years’ imprisonment. There is also a possibility of being deprived of the right to drive vehicles for the same period.
“If you witnessed this accident or have information that could help identify the scooter driver, please report it to the emergency line 102”, the police urge.
