In Lviv, police arrested a man who was shooting from an apartment window, no one was injured.
Today, May 15, around two in the morning, the police received a report of shots fired on Kavaleridze Street. An investigative team, a district police officer, and officers from other services immediately arrived at the scene. Employees of the Lviv Region Patrol Police Department were also involved.
As law enforcement established, the 53-year-old Lviv resident, who was intoxicated, fired several shots from the second-floor window. As a result of his actions, windows in neighboring apartments were damaged. A hunting rifle and shells were seized from the scene and sent for expert examination.
Investigators opened criminal proceedings under Part 1 of Article 296 (“Hooliganism”) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The sanction of the article provides for punishment – a fine from five hundred to one thousand tax-free minimum incomes of citizens or arrest for up to six months, or restriction of freedom for up to five years. Law enforcement is establishing all the circumstances of the incident.
