In the Lviv region, police are investigating the circumstances of food poisoning among children who were staying at a hotel and entertainment complex.
Preliminary findings indicate that 12 patients from Kharkiv, Cherkasy, Ivano-Frankivsk, and Rivne have been taken to medical facilities. The ages of those affected range from 8 to 15 years. Doctors diagnosed them with food poisoning, with diagnoses being clarified.
Patients began arriving at the hospital on August 17. A criminal case has been opened under Part 1 of Article 325 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The sanctions of this article include a fine, arrest, or restriction of liberty.
A pre-trial investigation is being conducted, law enforcement officers are establishing the circumstances of the incident, and examinations have been appointed.
