Lviv police are appealing to the public for assistance in investigating a traffic accident that resulted in injuries to an elderly woman.
The road accident occurred on December 11 at 18:50 on Varshavska Street. The driver of an ‘Electron’ bus, a 39-year-old resident of Lviv, hit a 71-year-old Lviv woman. As a result, the woman sustained injuries and was hospitalized.
A criminal case has been opened regarding the incident under Part 2 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, which provides for imprisonment from three to eight years. Additionally, the right to drive vehicles may be revoked for up to three years.
Pre-trial investigation is ongoing. “Anyone with information that could help establish the circumstances of this accident is asked to contact the operational line 102,” the law enforcement officers urge.
