We found the suspected thief in hot pursuit
Yesterday afternoon, patrol officers of the 2nd Battalion received a call to a hostel in the central part of the city, where, according to the applicant, 25 thousand hryvnias in 200 hryvnia bills had been stolen from him.
He assumed that it could have been done by an unknown person who shared a room with him. Having the photo and personal data of the suspected offender, the description of him was sent to all the crews.
Soon after, we found him and detained him a few kilometers from the scene. The 21-year-old man said that he had managed to spend about 15 thousand hryvnias on clothes, a phone and food.
The man had been previously convicted of serious crimes and had recently been released from prison.
After all the investigative actions, the man was detained in accordance with the procedure established by Art. 208 (Detention by an authorized person) of the CPC of Ukraine. He faces liability for theft committed under martial law.
