Police establish circumstances of incident after concert in Chervonohrad
A criminal investigation is underway under the article “Hooliganism”. All victims, participants and circumstances of the conflict are being identified.
On 13 September, in the evening in Chervonohrad, after the concert, when the visitors of the event were outside, a fight broke out, during which unknown persons fired several shots in the air with unidentified weapons.
As the Holos Sokalshchyny learned from social media, the condition for entering the concert was a donation to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. As those wishing to attend the concert began to enter the stadium, the donation turned into a “fixed amount” for admission.
The video of the event appeared on the Facebook page “Overheard in Chervonohrad v.2” and later spread in Lviv Telegram channels. The post under the video states that a large number of people wanted to climb over the fence of the stadium where Nadia Dorofeeva’s concert was taking place. It is noted that security guards were working at the site, using pepper spray, and shots were also heard.
The police began an investigation, as a result of which investigators of the Chervonohrad District Police Department opened criminal proceedings under Part 4 of Article 296 (Hooliganism) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The sanction of the article provides for imprisonment for up to seven years.
The participants in the conflict who could have fired the shots have already been identified, as well as two victims who, after talking to the police on the evening of 14 September, filed statements about the infliction of bodily harm.
The investigation is ongoing.
